Introducing Home Ground: A Website and App That Actually Look Like Your Club

For a few seasons now we have been quietly building football clubs something most of them could not get anywhere else: a website and an app that actually look like the club, with this weekend’s fixture and last weekend’s result live on the front, updating themselves. We did it for Essendon Royals, then Eltham Redbacks, then a handful more. Every time, the same thing happened. Members started checking one place instead of five. Sponsors could finally see what they were paying for. And the committee got its Sunday nights back.

We kept getting asked the same question by other clubs: can you do that for us? So we turned it into a proper thing you can buy. It is called Home Ground, and this is what it is.

The problem every club knows

Walk into most community clubs and the digital setup is the same. A website a volunteer built three committees ago that nobody has the login to. A Facebook page carrying most of the load, reaching a fraction of the people who follow it. Fixtures that are a season out of date, or a screenshot of the ladder from round four. A free app that looks like every other club’s because it is the same free app. And somewhere in there, one stretched volunteer copying results into a spreadsheet on a Sunday night, until they move on and it all goes stale.

None of that is a failing of your people. It is a sign the setup has outgrown whoever built it. The club is run brilliantly and the website makes it look like it is not.

What Home Ground actually is

Home Ground is a done-for-you website and matchday app, built as one, in your colours. The part that makes it different is the live data. We read your fixtures, results and ladder straight from Dribl and show them on your own site and app, with a matchday band up the top: next game, a countdown, last weekend’s result. The second a score is entered, your site and app update themselves. No volunteer retyping anything.

Members get an installable app that goes onto a phone in two taps, with fixtures, results, news and notifications, all under your badge rather than a shared login. Sponsors get a spot where fans actually look, come renewal that is a much easier conversation. And we build it, host it and keep it running, so the whole thing survives the next committee changeover.

The bit the free tools cannot do

The big platforms hand you an empty login and a template with a foreign logo, then walk away. Team App is free, and you build it yourself. PlayHQ runs your registrations, which is exactly where they should sit, but the site it gives you looks like every other club on the platform. None of them can take your live competition data and paint it on your own page, in your own colours, kept current for you. That is the whole point of Home Ground, and it is the part nobody else in this market does.

Who it is for

Home Ground is for football clubs, grassroots through NPL, that have decided looking professional is worth paying for. If a Facebook page is genuinely enough for your club, keep it. That is a fair call and we will not talk you out of it. But if your club is bigger than its website makes it look, and your committee is tired of being the IT department, this is built for you.

See your own club before you spend a cent

The best way to understand it is to see it. Send us your club and your Dribl link and we will show you your own website and matchday band running live, in your colours, before you pay anything. You can even have a play with a full working demo of an imaginary club we built, the Timbuktu Warriors, to feel exactly what your members would get.

Book a look at Home Ground and we will walk you through it on your own fixtures.
