We’ve always believed in the power of stories here at Content Hype and this has been the foundation of everything we do. I’m Matthew Galea, and with a background in journalism, I’ve worked with local media and told the stories that matter for years. Now we’re taking this love of storytelling to the next level with our very own podcast, Moonee Valley Voices.
Recorded from our Moonee Ponds podcast studio, Moonee Valley Voices is all about putting the spotlight on the amazing people and stories in our community. We’re giving local business owners, community leaders and passionate people a platform to share their stories. It’s a project I’ve been passionate about for years as I believe storytelling has the power to connect people and make a difference. Now, we’re bringing that power to the Moonee Valley.
Moonee Valley Voices
After years of working in journalism and running Content Hype, I noticed something: with traditional local media disappearing, there’s been a growing need for a space where local voices can be heard. People in Moonee Valley have amazing stories to tell, but without a platform, many of these stories go untold.
That’s where Moonee Valley Voices comes in. We’re filling the gap left by local media and providing a space for real conversations with the people who make this community tick. Whether it’s business, sport or local issues, we’re creating a space where these stories can be shared with the wider community.

Previous Guests
We’ve had some great guests on the show so far.
In our first episode I spoke with Hamish Jones, a local business owner with a love of digital transformation. Hamish talked about how technology can help local businesses and how he’s running for the 2024 Moonee Valley Council elections. His views on the future of our community were fascinating.
Then we had Mark Errichiello, a second generation real estate agent and Director of Master Advocates. Mark has been in the community for a long time and with his experience in real estate and his involvement in the Essendon North Village Traders Association we got a great insight into the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses.
Most recently, I had a very special guest – my dad, Martin Galea. With over 40 years of experience in conveyancing Martin has been a fixture in the local property market. We talked about his journey building a business, his involvement with local soccer and the importance of community in his personal and professional life.
These are just the start, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of the stories that make Moonee Valley such a fantastic place to live and work.
Content Hype and Our Podcast Studio
At Content Hype, we’ve always helped businesses and individuals tell their stories in the best way possible. Whether through digital content, social media, or podcasting, our goal is to bring your story to life.
Our Moonee Valley podcast studio is a big part of this. Based in Moonee Ponds, our studio is fully equipped to record professional-grade audio. When we launched Moonee Valley Voices, we wanted to create something that sounds polished and professional but also feels comfortable and authentic for our guests.
As a Melbourne podcast studio we’re opening the doors to the community, so local businesses, creators and individuals can use our space for their own projects. Whether you’re a podcaster, business owner looking to create content or someone with a story to tell our Essendon podcast studio is the place to do it.
The Future
We’re still in the early days of Moonee Valley Voices, but so far, the response has been amazing. We’re building a platform that brings people together through storytelling, and we’ve only just started.
We’ll feature more guests, local business owners, community leaders, athletes, creatives and more. We want to build a diverse range of voices that reflect Moonee Valley.
We’ll also invite more people into the studio to tell their stories and be part of this project. Our vision is to be the local storytelling platform for Moonee Valley and help build deeper connections and community.
